Doctor Garlock, earned his doctorate degree from Cornell University. While at Cornell, he was active in research for Cornell's department of psychology and graduate school of education.
Doctor Garlock was a psychology professor at Cayuga Community College for 30 years. While there, he won the State University of New York Award for Excellence in Teaching. He had also taught psychology and education courses at a number of other colleges, private vocational institutes, and maximum security prisons. Among many other college-level courses, he has taught classes on sleep, dreams, hypnosis and meditation.
Dr. Garlock has conducted enrichment programs for elementary, middle and high school students on the topics of sleep and dreams. He has also led in-service workshops on hypnosis and stress management for hospitals, community mental health centers and private corporations.
As a psychotherapist Dr. Garlock has utilized hypnotherapy and dream interpretation in this work for over 30 years.
Dr. Garlock has worked as a consulting hypnotistwith professionals in the fields of medicine, dentistry, sports and law enforcement as well as many others.
As a published Author of the book titled Your Genius Within: Understanding Sleep, Dream Interpretation and Learning Self-Hypnosis, Dr. Garlock's book earned him a five star rating among readers and remained in the Top 100 books in the category of Dreams with Amazon for over four months. The book spent more than two of those months in the Top 10 of its category.
Along with his book, he has produced numerous professional audio CDs on topics such as quitting smoking, keeping a healthy diet, getting a good night sleep, and improving dream recall.
We are pleased to now offer Dr. Garlock's Services in Hypnotherapy and Dream Interpretation here at The Center! His offerings will include private sessions and group workshops.
Dr. Garlock is a member of
International Association for the Study of Dreams, and the National Guild of Hypnotists.
